Wen Tian bit his lips. His clenched fists in his sleeves slightly loosened. He shook his head at Chu XiangTian.

But in reality, he was extremely afraid. It was just like this in his previous life. Wen Boli controlled the whole Wen family at the time. He sold and laid off the servants who did not submit to him. Wen Tian and his mother were alone with no support. His mother was forced to press her handprint on the divorce letter. A group of soldiers surrounded them afterwards. They weren’t allowed to even take away one item of clothing and were kicked out of the house that originally belonged to them.

When the soldiers surrounded them, he thought that history was about to repeat itself again. Only with his fingernails pierced deeply into his palms could he force himself to confront the soldiers. That was because he knew that he couldn’t back down.

Chu XiangTian’s appearance was like a breath of fresh air in the stifling space. Wen Tian took a deep breath and felt that his thumping heart settled down a bit. Perhaps because Chu XiangTian’s attitude was so strong when he kicked the two soldiers that Wen Tian still sighed with relief even if Chu XiangTian was there by himself.

How could Chu XiangTian not see the fear in his eyes? He really wanted to reach out and rub the little Shaoye’s head to lessen his fear. But he was aware of Fu Youqin nearby, so he could only smile comfortingly at him to tell him not to worry. Then he firmly stood in front of and blocked them from the soldiers.

He was tall and wore crisp black clothing. With his eyes narrowed as he looked opposite him, he revealed a murderous aura. This was honed after many years on the battlefield. Even the most courageous enemy would turn cold when he saw him, not to mention these ordinary soldiers who had not experienced war.

The soldiers in the very front took a step back. Afterwards, they felt ashamed that they were afraid of a mere bandit leader. The head of the soldiers stepped forwards and made an empty show of strength. “The authorities are conducting official business here. Move if you don’t want to die!”

Chu XiangTian’s eyes were cold as looked at them. Without expression on his face, he coldly spat out, “Scram.”

“What guts!” The soldiers were angered by his attitude. They pointed their swords at him. “If you don’t move, we will destroy you, bandit leader, too!”

Chu XiangTian’s expression didn’t change in the slightest. He lightly looked at him and continued standing there motionlessly.

“What if…… you leave?” Wen Tian pulled his sleeve from behind him and whispered.

Wen Tian was very relieved to have Chu XiangTian here. At least they weren’t alone and helpless. Although he didn’t say it out loud, Wen Tian felt that Chu XiangTian would certainly protect them.

But he couldn’t be this selfish. Even if Chu XiangTian was very powerful, he could not be at much of an advantage facing off against the twenty or so soldiers opposite them. Not to mention, Chu XiangTian’s identity was sensitive. The soldiers would restrain themselves against Wen Tian and his mother and not really hurt them. But they wouldn’t do the same for the bandit leader Chu XiangTian. They might actually hurt him.

Chu XiangTian looked at Wen Tian’s slightly alarmed expression and couldn’t help but rub his head. He whispered, “It’s fine. Zhou Chuanqing went for help.” Zhou Chuanqing didn’t come here most probably because he went to find Wei Yang.
